Come back and give back
Yes, it's definitely fascinating to travel to new places and learn new things. But have you thought of returning to visit your roots, the place where you came from?
For me, that special place is Vietnam. What about you? Have you been away from home? Are you someone who moved away from where you grew up? When you think of your childhood, what do you think of? What do you remember or miss most about your childhood?
For me, it's a special feeling to go home, to go to where I belong. I came back to Vietnam to search for and experience that special feeling of coming home. I came back searching for the familiar street foods that I once ate as a child. I came back to give back to the place where I came from and to help some of its struggling people. As I came back, I felt part of me returning to my true self.
For me, it was definitely a fun and rewarding experience to visit Vietnam in November 2019.
Giving is receiving. It’s real. I attest to it.
Visiting, spending time with orphan children and sharing gifts with the poor families brought a deep satisfaction and allowed me to feel the joy of helping others. It's the kind of happiness and fulfillment that makes one's heart tingle. Please join me in returning to your good-natured true self by helping and giving to those in need. In doing so, you are planting the seeds of rewards for self-love and compassion knowing that you positively impact the lives of other people. As you help others, you may notice an increase in your "happy hormone," oxytocin, which in turn may boost your self-esteem. This very act of helping others may allow you to feel proud of yourself and thus helping you to discover self-love.
If you have more than what you need, I urge you to give back to the community, give back to the world, give back to life. You will receive more than what you give. Find out for yourself.
