Be Vui Project went to Vietnam from mid-April to early June this year, right before Covid-19 cases started to increase in Vietnam. We spent most of our time at Mai Tam Shelter with the 80 plus Vietnamese orphans and abandoned children and widows living with HIV. We took the children shopping at a nearby supermarket. During our visits, we treated the children to special snacks and meals: spring rolls, ice cream, pizza, Korean food... The children were extremely happy and grateful!
We also went to Duc Quang Shelter in Ben Tre which was about 1 and ½ hour drive from Saigon. This place currently supports more than 120 orphans and abandoned children.
