Life is short and precious and especially so for the Vietnamese orphans and abandoned children living with HIV at Mai Tam Shelter in Saigon, Vietnam.
Little V. was an unfortunate girl living with HIV. Her condition worsened as her body stopped responding to antiretroviral therapy (ART) HIV medications. Mai Tam Shelter staff tried their best to save little V. with the limited choices of medications and resources that they had. In the fall of 2020, little V. bid goodbye to her friends and siblings at her Mai Tam family; she bid goodbye to her short and precious life at the age of 19. May little V. rest in peace.
We hope that the other children at Mai Tam Shelter will be luckier than little V. We hope that they all can be healthy and happy children. Please join us to help keep the Mai Tam children that way.
Due to the pandemic, Be Vui Project was unable to visit any non-profit organization in Vietnam this year. With continuing support from our generous donors, we were able to make donations to Hue, Lam Dong School for the Hearing Impaired, Luc Hoa Orphanage, Mai Tam Shelter, and Maison Chance.
During our 2019 visit at Lam Dong School for the Hearing Impaired, we learned of their needs for new TVs. We're happy to announce that Be Vui Project was able to make these low-income students happier with two new TVs in 2020.
